Rizzo-esque
This dude is so good.
Side note, that was some excellent horizontal movement on that pitch
It’s a rite of passage to play 1B in Chicago.
I wonder how many of you who insisted he was a 3B who’ll put up Mervis numbers can see him as a 1B with a future
He was always supposed to be a 1B, but he was blocked by Freeman; the Dodgers tried everything to help him learn a different role because they valued him a lot – he cost the Cubs Ferris, that was not cheap at all
His ceiling always projected as a 1B who’s bat could hit in the 2 hole if he can settle into the MLB – his glove is here and his bat is continuing to evolve towards a good #2 hitter
He’s learning
We still got Busch
That’s our first baseman for the foreseeable future. Between Busch, Imanaga and PCA this year has been good for development and not much else.
Rizzo did it better.
I watched this from the third base line 13 rows up. It was an awesome view of an incredible catch.
Incredible how far along he’s come defensively since the start of the year
I feel like there is such a good rookie class this year that Busch gets snubbed for ROTY unfortunately, he’s so good and I’m so excited for his future with the Cubs
My one issue with the nets is the inability for 1st basement to go into the stands to steal a fould anymore.

Where is Steve Bartman when you need him
