Ryan Wolstat on Bruce Brown’s knee injury, from his May Mailbag: “To the best of my knowledge, Brown is going with rest and off-season strengthening, not surgery.”

Since people think there's some weird ulterior motive behind Bruce Brown getting knee surgery now, here's proof that rest and rehab was the plan since the end of last season.

Also of note: "Brown has dealt with mild right knee issues throughout his NBA career, but nothing has been serious. In April of 2021, while with Brooklyn, he missed some time with it and then, this past season, Brown’s troubles started with what Pacers coach Rick Carlisle called a “very, very minor” knee issue in late-December that caused him to miss six games in a row.

Brown actually seemed fine upon his return, playing several strong games for Indiana and did most of his best work as a Raptor in the early days after the trade.

Unfortunately, Brown hurt the same knee again against Golden State, missed four games and never felt right."

  1. Isn’t Josh Leweinberg considered highly trusted source shouldn’t he have known this before making that claim

  2. So it’s been bugging him for years, and instead of dealing with it in the offseason, he chose to wait until now. Sorry, but I’m not buying it. He made it pretty clear from the beginning that he didn’t want to be here. Dudes gonna be an absolute headache for the front office until they can offload him.
