  1. Everyone knew he was gonna steal yet nothing could be done to stop it.

55/55 is my guess but this guy has been exceeding every expectation his whole career.

  2. He’s looking to pass Ichiro’s 56 SB season which is the most from a Japanese player in a season!

  3. And it ended up being relevant to get scores off a sac fly that scored Edman and advanced him, then a single from Teo. Good, productive base running.

  4. Honestly it’s just so funny to see him do this now. I think literally everyone in the stadium was expecting this to happen

  5. What do you even do? Everyone knows he’s going. How is he too fast though? He’s a giant. His steps shouldn’t work that way. Someone should check the dirt for bruises because the force he’s mushing with every stride has to be savage.

  6. Honestly, I was expecting this to be a chill game. Sho goes up for roaring applause and gets a hit or two.

    Well, the dude doesn’t stop.

  7. So if he hits a hr and steals a base every game the rest of the season, he would hit exactly 60/60… But hahah, that’s impossible, right guys?

    Right?

  8. The reason why he got caught so many times prior to this season was his jump, looks like he has figure that out.

  9. The average number of SBs for players who hit more than 50 HRs: 7.4

The average number of HRs for players who had more than 50 SBs: 8.4

  10. It’s going to be a shame to see this man’s offense take a step back once he starts pitching again.

  11. Still only 4 CS after 52 stolen bases 👀

What’s the record for success over 50 attempts?

Asking for a magical immortal chungus

  12. I remember a week ago, people were hopeful about 50/50. Now we are hopeful about 55/55. I’m actually dreaming right now wtf?

  13. I wonder if part of the reason why he’s so good at stealing bases is that he’s a pitcher and he knows when the other team is about to throw vs. pick off and that lets him get an above average jump.
