The Pitch Locations of Shohei Ohtani’s Home Runs Against Kyle Freeland

That’s Vlad Guerrero Sr. levels of “nowhere is safe”.
Got Kyle looking to the heavens wondering why this is happening to him.
Was waiting for this post. Thank you. Kyle Freeland, certainly feeling the full wrath of Ohtani.
Do we have any idea what Shohei had for breakfast? I’m trying to get a thread too.
“I’m just gonna walk him,” thinks Freeland, moments before disaster.
So now he needs to homer on pitches six inches outside and six inches low to complete the set.
Ohtani in an Angels uniform? That has to be fake. No way the Angels would let him walk
Might as well try meatball down the middle to see if you can catch Ohtani off guard or something.
One of his recent home runs was low and inside too, a pitch that at best gets a line drive double out of a mortal player
They’ll try to intentionally walk him and he’ll hit that for a home run too 🥴
He’s so locked in right now he’d probably homer off a legit HBP attempt.
What the fuck
Maybe Kyle throw a meatball in the middle next time. Reverse psychology.
Those freeze frames seen out of context make it seem like he has no idea how to swing a bat
Love how on the second one it seems like Sho swung so hard he literally is starting to spin.
Dude just saw it high and went “OK!”
He should try right down the middle next time
Freeland: “WTF do you want me to do! I don’t even pitch to him.”
Ohtani: “yes”
He had to get his foot down and give one to the people
It can be frustrating watching when he will chase these types of pitches and then you see him send them 400ft and you realize “oh that’s why he does that”
The downside, kids will start copying his swing, which will will kill their hitting ability. His swing is unique for his unique physique, it will not map to anything else.
This man is just showing off at this point
Ohtani is unbelievable
If you think about it, tall players gives you an advantage as a batter because your zone is more expanded than a shorter player
So maybe pitching on The Show isn’t bullshit after all.
Well I’ll be damned.
Doesn’t being a pitcher gives him a huge advantage?
