Silovs getting 50+ starts this year in (AHL/NHL) is the right move, he’s still very young. Akira Schmid had a good playoff run with the Devs and struggled mightily in the regular season so they probably didn’t want to have that happen.
Man. It’s crazy to remember when this organization used to have a serious problem getting a goalie.
I think it’s a really good fit for him overall. He’s a fennoswede (Swedish Finn) and speaks Swedish fluently. So he’s probably gonna blend in with the Swedish clique and coaches seamlessly.
