  1. Positives from today’s Cleveland baseball:

THE CLEVELAND GUARDIANS ARE AL CENTRAL CHAMPIONS ONCE AGAIN!!!!

    #37/40

Bo🏹 hit a home run, José🐐 went 2/4 with a double, homer, and 3 RBI, Gimmy hit a double, and Brennan🐦 stole a base. Boyd went 4IP 2R, and the bullpen crew of Eli Morgan, Herrin, Sandlin🏝️, and Walters gave up no earned runs. *sorry for abbreviated positives I beat the Guards to the beverages tonight*

Columbus gets two blurbs tonight because *GOOD LORD* they had a night. Carrasco🍪 got the start, and went 3.2IP, 4H, 1R, 1BB, and 3K on 50 pitches (31 strikes). After a quick strikeout from Aleman to end the inning, Logan Allen took over and went 3IP, 2H, 2R(1ER), 4BB, and 9K on 81 pitches (45 strikes). Karinchaos(1IP) and Strzelecki(1IP) finished the game, and with both runs coming off of solo home runs, this is a pitching beauty.

Columbus offense tonight, my god. The bats got 14 runs off of 14 hits, 4 walks, and a Freeman🆓 stolen base. Speaking of 🆓, the kid went 5/6 with two doubles, a home run, 4 RBI, and the aforementioned stolen base… DAYUM. Florial got a walk and a three run home run, Arias and Christian Cairo each hit a triple, and Brito got a double and an RBI. Everybody got on base at least once, 8/9 batters got hits, and 8/9 scored a run. Woof.

  2. Josh really isn’t playing well enough lately to be letting balls go between his legs. Oh well, hard not to feel good about this team, doesn’t look like the 1 seed is happening, focus on rest before October

  3. I said it after his last appearance and I hope Vogt now sees it. You can’t use Sandlin in a close game right now. I know the defense let him down a bit, but he’s the only guy in the bullpen giving up homers on a consistent basis.

  4. Boyd losing it early, 2 very stupid errors, Rocc batting a cool .208 going 0-4

We lost this game because Myles Straw popped out

  5. More irritated about the decision to bring Sandlin in instead of any other reliever more than the Straw PH. But happy for Jose getting closer to the 40/40. We get em tomorrow. Even though we have a bad history of losing when Gavin pitches
