If I were Lankinen I would jump at this chance. Play 30+ nhl games this year, play for a team coming off a really promising season, gives him the opportunity to show what he can do, and it would be a one year anyways

I mean I think everyone knew this was a waiting game. Clearly Lankinen still wants to play in the NHL and with the Demko situation in flux this is probably his best situation. Management played hardball and rightly so because his options are limited.
How good is he compared to DeSmith?
Can we really trust Demko to be there for us when we need him in the playoffs? He’s turning into Sami Salo.
Wow, they got him to drop his price below $1M. Not bad.
