Busch Stadium opened in 2006. For 18 consecutive years the Cardinals have drawn 3 million+ fans (excluding covid). That streak was broken today with a final tally of 2.87 Million. That’s the lowest number since 2003.

  1. This is what happens when the front office is more concerned about their revenue income and salary rather than building a team to truly win a championship. It’s not about baseball to them, it’s truly about a business, it’s ROI and P&L. Sad that it’s become that, vs it oroigin as a sport.

  2. As it should. Unfortunately, I don’t think this will have the intended effect that us fans want. The FO will use it as reasoning to cut payroll I’d almost guarantee

  3. As much as it’s frustrating missing the playoffs, this is kind of embarrassing for a team currently above .500

  4. They don’t care. Matter of fact, they’ll use attendance as reason to make matters even worse.

  5. Well shoot, the team was boring. Not even *bad,* exactly, because bad teams can be fun if there’s a plan. Just boring.
