  1. Scotty, so happy for you, me and all the loyal Tiger fans.
These young Tigers are proving they have “it,” talent, professionalism, camaraderie, coolness, good coaching, fun and clutch.
Their end of season drive to the playoffs reminds me of the 1995 Seattle Mariners, which I was fortunate to witness here in Seattle.

  2. Riley Greene and Carpenter came back ,Parker Meadows changed his swing and came back, Tork made swing changes and and improved his defense, the pitching department improved a half dozen pitchers, Trey Sweeney as much as I dont like him longterm(hes a younger Baez) is better than Baez and has a clutch element to him that maximizes his impact. McKinstry with his career back to the wall came out fighting- and credit to Scott Harris staying with him. Add to all this, AJ Hinch is managing like a clairvoyant, this adds up to the current best team in baseball . If the Tigers make the playoffs somebody has got to write a book on this season. Its key that KC tanked so it gives another possible option to make the playoffs.

  3. A good buddy of mine is a huge Tigers fan and I know he's aaaaaaaaaaaaaaamped by this. Just gotta finish out the week winning more than Kansas City and Minnesota! (And Seattle, Tampa, and Bsoton).

  4. I don’t take Tampa for granted. I expect the Tigers to lose a game, but win the series. They do that, and sweep the Sox…and they SHOULD be in the Playoffs. The Twins finish against the Orioles, and the Royals finish against the Braves (that honestly COULD be the biggest series next weekend, as both teams are struggling). Also…the Twins and Royals are both just absolutely imploding. I wouldn’t be shocked if the wild cards end up Orioles, Tigers, Mariners. Also, let’s not forget the O’s are 4 games up on the Tigers and finish with a series in the Bronx, then in Minnesota. Is there a chance the Tigers push to WC1 ? I’m so here for it all !!!

  5. I hear pundits speak about the rise since beginning of Aug however if we go back further a couple weeks around the all star break and their winning began for the turnaround we made the trade with flaherty and we been going up kudos to AJ for his management all season because when we were not playing well he kept the clubhouse into it that’s huge! My affinity for this team reminds me of jim Leland 97 marlins team they got in with defense pitching and timely hitting I feel compelled to mention that because we just celebrated Jim as well as the 40 yr anniversary of the 84 champs and I was there so let’s goooooo tigers we get in we have a fighters chance

  6. I find it odd that I have yet to hear anyone talk about AJ's strange decisions to have Holten pitch the first inning of Montero's start in the first game of the Orioles series

  7. I've been SO hooked on The Lions , that I forgot that the Tigers were on the rise ! CONGRATULATIONS for being in the running for the wild-card . Will definitely root for The TIGERS !! When I lived in Detroit I went to Briggs Stadium to root for both The Lions and The Tigers !

  8. Tigers close out against the White Sox. They'll be motivated playing spoilers or they mentally checked out months ago already. Either way it makes you feel good the Tigers have the easiest path closing out at home.

  9. A lifelong Cleveland fan, watching the last series we played at Detroit I was convinced the Tigers were going to be a great team in the future. AJ Hinch is a great manager. Why they traded a good pitcher to the Dodgers was my only question.

  10. AJ Hinch should be an absolute lock for coach of the year!
    Nobody expected this !
They’re playing loose. They’re having fun and even when they lose, they held their heads up high, and don’t flinch
