  1. I was at the game. I used to work at Delta Center, and experienced many highs and lows with the Utah Jazz. I can think of very few times I have heard that building go as crazy as it did after the Utah goals and Spicy Tuna’s fight.

There were several people around me experiencing hockey for the first time. Not just in person, but period. I think they are hooked.

  2. They should be called the… hear me out now… Utah Hockey Pucks or just Utah Pucks

    Peter Puck as mascot

    No Pucks given
    Go Puck Yourself
    Go Pucks Go
    🤣

Also Pucks V Ducks would be cool lol

  3. Im a Red Wing fan and will always be one. I live in Salt Lake City for 13 years. I hope Utah the best. See you on October 5 at the Maverick center and March 24th.

  4. As far as the name goes I think Venom is the best suited, there are at least 6 species of rattlesnakes in Utah. Of the 20 original potential names there are 6 Finalists in the team name contest and "Utah Hockey Club" made the list. How? Were the other 14 names THAT bad?
I would have gone with "Utah Battalion", it's got a history in the founding of Salt Lake City and settlement of the State. Mormons agreed to sign up for the US military during the Mexican-American War (1846-1848) in exchange for right to settle in Utah and found a Mormon city as the base for their church. Their regiment was called The Mormon Battalion. The government saw it as an opportunity to segregate the Mormons who were being persecuted in places like Michigan and Ohio, which was fine with the Mormons who wanted a more religious tribal society like the Amish anyway, who are probably jealous they didn't get their own State of the Union.

  5. Im just glad Newer Fans are finally getting to see Hockey in Utah. A New Market comes with New Fans. Anything that helps grow the Sport of Hockey i’m happy with.
It’s gotta be super exciting to be living in or the surrounding area of Salt Lake City Utah.
