All it took was an all time worst season.
Look at the Sox being the wing man…
We gave them the opportunity to be there. If they didn’t play us, they wouldn’t be there.
Pretty sure the white Sox gave every other team in the division a significant boost. Without the Sox being historically bad, it’s a different outlook.
The White Sox died so that Kansas City and Detroit could live lol
If the White Sox didn’t lose all those games to the ALC, Seattle and maybe Boston would be holding wild card spots right now

There’s no way Kansas City or Detroit has enough wins without our guys completely laying down and getting stomped by them.
The only AL Central team that would be in the running without us is Cleveland
I actually don’t think Getz was wrong, the division is weak. Just that they look strong because of us. If we were even just normal bad and went 4-9 or 5-8 against the Twins, Royals, and Tigers they wouldn’t be in the race. It’s just that we went 1-12 against the Twins and Royals and we are 1-9 against the Tigers

Was looking at the standing to see which teams should be mad at us for giving away wins to keep them out. Just saw that our run differential is almost 100 runs worse than the next worse teams.
