  1. **THE 2024 CLEVELAND GUARDIANS HAVE CLINCHED A POSTSEASON BERTH, DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP, AND FIRST ROUND BYE**

Their magic number for the top playoff seed and guaranteed home field advantage through the ALCS is: **9**

The Guardians can clinch the top seed under the follow circumstances:

    | CLE record over final four games | NYY record over final four games |
    |———————————-|———————————-|
    | 4-0 | 2-4, 1-5, or 0-6 |
    | 3-1 | 1-5 or 0-6 |
    | 2-2 | 0-6 |

The Guardians have a **bye** in the Wild Card round

The Guardians hold home field advantage in the division round and will face the winner of the series between the winner of the AL West division and the 3rd WC.

The Guardians hold home field advantage in the ALCS over all teams except the Yankees.

The Guardians hold home field advantage in the World Series over the Brewers, Mets, and Diamondbacks. They do not hold home field advantage over the Phillies, Dodgers, or Padres.

  2. Positives from today’s Cleveland baseball:

    #1 OR 2 SEED SECURED

    #37/40 (4 games remain)

IssaBibe and it’s a beauty tonight for our resident ace. Tanner Bibee goes 7IP, 4H, 1R, 2BB, and 7K on 88 pitches. Add one to the Quality Start counter!

Nothing like a power filled first inning for the Guards to play from in front! The offense gets 6 runs off of 10 hits and 3 walks. Lane🚂 and Manzo🥸 get us on the board with two run and solo shots respectively, and Josh💨, José🐐, and Rocchio each slap a double. 7/9 starters get hits… wait was that Amed? *…oh dear god please don’t make me look at that man.*

Gaddis and Clase each threw an inning of relief. I betcha can guess how it went. Clase still needs one more save in the next 4 games to beat Mesa’s single season record.

YALL BETTER BE SWITCHING OVER TO THE COLUMBUS GAME

  3. Honestly, 1 seed is cool and all, but we got the bye and get to give the bullpen some time to rest up

I’m not saying you can take your foot off the gas now, but you can slowly ease it off ever so slightly

  4. Are the boys going to celebrate again? Need to know if I need to turn on the postgame!!!!!

  5. Guards just secured a first round bye with a rookie head coach and a starting rotation that was totally patched together, and they’ll get about 5 minutes on the radio tomorrow since the hollow corpse of the Browns still exists.
