First off of Rowdy Tellez did a great job officiating Jano’s wedding, who is in town to face the Jays.
This is type of stuff the Pirates just pulled shows the free-agent market what type of organization you are, not a good look.

Greasy. And yet, the Pirates will be waiting with their hands out to get money from MLB. You know what, enough of this team welfare that MLB has. If you can’t draw crowds or create revenue, then it’s either move or fold. No more handouts, especially when the welfare teams do stuff like this.
The Pirates are cheap as fuck, their owner doesn’t care to put money into the team and hasn’t for decades. In the last 20 seasons they’ve been above .500 FOUR times. That’s pathetic.

You guys realize that Rowdy has been terrible both this season and last season right? You realize he has made more than $10 million in career earnings right? Yes he was a Jay, but cmon. Sports are performance based and he hasn’t performed well enough to earn another $200K. It’s pretty simple.
I hate it, but it’s also justified. It should’ve happened a month ago. He hasn’t been good.
Poor Rowdy. I hope he makes his rent next month.🙄

Charles Mcadoo probably feels like he dodged a bullet.
He’s too 3-4 in most offensive categories for Pittsburgh. He’s had a god awful September but with 6 games left this is absolutely bush league
In fairness, that’s about the ticket revenue that the Pirates will earn in the last 6 games of the year, so this move could tip the scales for them.
This is the only* reason I would never sign with the Pirates
