Mets vs Braves (9/24/2024) | NY Mets Highlights | SNY

Luis Severino got roughed up for three runs in the third inning as the Mets fell 5-1 to the Atlanta Braves. Michael Harris II was 3-for-4 with a home run, and Spencer Schwellenbach pitched seven strong innings for Atlanta. One bright spot for the Mets was the appearance of Francisco Lindor on deck in the ninth inning. While Lindor did not make it into the game, it could be a sign that he is nearing a return.

  1. Everything ended here, despite that, they gave us a very busy and exciting season, guys, I hope that those who remain will help make 2025 a much more fun year than this one.

  2. Not a Mets fan but just imagine being in this exact scenario 2 years apart where you have a chance at a playoff spot and the Braves come in with a week left in Atlanta and being a game or 2 worse than you then get a 3 game sweep against you and finish the season taking the playoff spot you should’ve had.

  3. Anyone remember the SONG the same old song by the four tops WELL their playing it AGAIN mets road trip last seven games one and SIX brewer's are never easy THERE i wouldn't be SURPRISED if THEY dont win a GAME ive seen this film numerous times

  4. Carlos Mendoza needs to treat this series against the Braves like a playoff series. All hands on deck and every pitcher is available until we secure a Wildcard position. Severino didn’t have his best stuff today and our bats didn’t do him any favors. I am still pissed that we got rid of Buck Showalter. Bucks’s experience and how to manage a team is far superior than Carlos Mendoza. For Carlos Mendoza sake I hope we secure a wildcard position.

  5. Let’s not forget folks, ATL isn’t the only team we are in a fight with, DBacks play into the equation as well. Don’t drive yourself crazy thinking if we lose this series it’s over.
