  1. I get that it's non-traditional and a lot of people will hate this opinion, but I honestly love "Utah Hockey Club". I know it won't stay that way, but I think it's kinda sick and it at least stands out. Even if they end up with a logo or something I still love the location-sport-club naming convention. They do this in so many other sports around the world, and it's weird within the NHL/hockey but I really dig it.

  2. Y'all thinking about this the wrong way. Yotes were such a cursed franchise that of course UHC will make a deep playoff run the year they get sold.

Second, making a deep playoff run under a temporary name with how superstitious the sport is will be a fun decision for the ownership.

  3. They don't need forwards. They need defense and they got Sergachev. That's a very high end relatively young(ish) defenseman. This team will surprise people (assuming general health of course)

  4. AZ was 23-19-3 as of Jan 22nd last year. Then the arena BS started Marty Walsh had his comments on it and bang 14 game losing streak from 1/24-2/29 and they are 23-31-5 at the end. Finished 36-41-5 so after that losing streak they went 13-10 so take those 14 games out and they are 36-29-3. Go like 6-6-2 in those games that's 42-35-4 and 88 points.

  5. They're a franchise in a really good position moving forward, if they have a good start with the "new team" vibes then come the trade deadline if they're in contention for a playoff spot they may go spend big!
