5. Not even mad. Rangers won the season series and A’s fans got to celebrate one final win in their home venue. And it was a close game that went down to the final at bat.

   Best of all, Dave and Basik didn’t utter a word while the final out was happening, and while the crowd was roaring. What a surreal scene.

13. Not gonna lie. I teared up watching that last bit (and so did Dave it seems).

    This whole situation has made me think about how the Rangers were “thinking” about leaving Arlington if the taxpayers hadn’t voted in favor of GLF (never would’ve happened honestly)

14. I’m not a Rangers fan, but I’m in Texas so I had the BSSW broadcast. That was pitch-perfect coverage, both in terms of the announcing and production. Extremely well done.

16. A’s fan here. Grew up in the Bay Area, going to games since the early 80s, back in the days of bleacher seats and iceplants in the outfield. Moved to Austin TX 20yrs ago. Could only get the Rangers broadcast down here for this final game. Your broadcasters were so supportive of our fans, calling out the ownership for the loss of our team, and being quiet during the final inning and letting the atmosphere of the Coliseum come through.

    Hearing “Let’s go Oakland!” one last time was tough.

21. Honestly, good game. Leiter looked great today. Rocker looked composed even with his defense shitting the bed at every opportunity to help him out.

    The A’s had some great ABs and there was no better way to end the game than seeing Miller throw 104 mph heaters and solidify the W for the fans of Oakland.

24. Diamondbacks fan here coming in peace. I just wanted to say that I’ve been continuously impressed with y’alls fanbase. Was at the WS game last year and every Rangers fan I interacted with today was super nice. I listened to the Ranger’s broadcast of the A’s/Rangers game today and was reminded again of how decent y’all are. Sorry you didn’t get the win today.

26. I’m surprised they lasted so long in Oakland. Counting their temporary home in Sacramento, when they get to Vegas, it’ll be their 5th city to call home. It sucks for the Oakland fans, but it’s in line with their history.

27. Hey Rangers fans, A’s fan here. Thanks for being there. Thanks for instructing Langford to drop that fly ball giving us the 3rd run, that was awfully kind. Most of all, thanks for being the team my A’s played in my coliseum for the final time.

    There’s plenty of Rangers fans commenting on the move in the A’s sub so I wanted to return the gesture, you’ve all been a class act showing up for our ‘funeral’ hehe.

29. For the A’s fans visiting this thread- the first baseball team I ever hated was the 1989 Oakland A’s – Canseco, McGuire, and especially Ricky Henderson. From that point of view, Oakland will always be my first before the Yankees, Mariners or Astros.

    I hope MLB comes to its senses and brings baseball back to your city, but even if they don’t, I will always think of Oakland as a baseball town.
