  1. bros i cannot help but notice that there have been no comments for 45 minutes since this thread was created.

It is as dead here as it is at the actual stadium.

  2. This game will be #101 for Buxton.

It’s only the 2nd time in his career playing over 100 games in a season.

  3. I wonder if Audra cries and drinks herself to sleep every night. It must be exhausting to only be allowed to blow smoke up the organization’s ass every day.

  4. For some reason I tried go watch the Twins on the high seas like always, even that does not work anymore – probably for the best

  5. Come on. Let’s at least go down fighting and making the tigers and royals sweat a bit. Make them play all their good guys with no rest until Sunday.

  6. I watched parts of the KC and Detroit games today. Even when they were down, you could see excitement and engagement in the dugouts. Ours looks like a funeral home. After the Tigers’ win, their announcer said “I really wonder what the Minnesota Twins are thinking right now”.

  7. I love you Royce but you look absolutely ridiculous with the Sting face paint. Maybe 6 weeks ago but not now, not today. Now is not the time to be crowing and slapping your chest.

  8. one thing that excited me when i moved out of minnesota was having another local team to root for as my secondary. why did that have to be the mariners

  9. This pains me to say as a nearly annoyingly positive fan but I’m currently a broken fan thanks to the Pohlad’s. That’s sad to say because it takes A LOT to get me here:

But imagine what Falvey/Thad could do with ownership that gave a shit. This is pure speculation, but I think after this debacle they will both leave for better opportunities in the offseason to teams with ownership that wants to win to make money instead of the shortsighted stupidity that’s going on here and we’ll see exactly how terrible the Pohlad’s are at running a team. The people who’ve defended them and said “c’mon guys could be the White Sox!” will find out.

The only thing keeping this franchise afloat has been this FO, if they’re gone get ready for the mid-2010s on steroids. I think Falvine declined opportunities for other jobs in the offseason because they expected ownership to somewhat play ball with them to get the final couple pieces of a contender even amid payroll cuts after the Correa/Lopez deals so they could see through what they’ve built here mostly through the minor league pipe. Instead ownership has said “fuck you” to them, the coaches, players, and fans alike and I think Falvine will leave because of it.

I have real fears of this getting really ugly. Players and even Rocco’s recent quotes and body language point to much bigger issues than slumping and injuries this time imo. It’s un-fucking-believable how the Pohlad’s ran a disaster-class to go from feeling my all-time high as a Twins fan(last postseason seeing the series win in-person in literal tears) to feeling my all-time low currently in less than a season. Even in this sub I’ve gone from a regular daily contributor to maybe once a week if that.

Yet I still have seen some here defend them or mock fans who are beyond frustrated. This time especially fans have a right to be. It’s not just bad baseball, there’s so much more going on here and that has gone on in the last 12 months to get fans to this point.
