The Baby Sabres look pretty dang good. I know, I know, it’s diminished preseason Pittsburgh and Ottawa lineups, but those are two really strong efforts, especially tonight, by a team with *maybe* two or three guys who will see NHL ice this year.
People keep calling this the AHL Squad when in reality it’s AHL minus a couple of the best players plus some ECHL players.

Maybe this doesn’t actually matter but I think it’d be much cooler if the Sabres followed the lead of plenty of other teams nowadays and used diacritics on players’ name plates. We have a few guys coming up, including Östlund.
