  1. Nick Mears… In my opinion, he should be axed immediately. But, after reading an article on the Brewer website, I see it's already decided he gets another chance to pitch. There are plenty of guys that need to be tested before the post season to waste time on this guy now. What about Bryan Hudson? What about Bryce Wilson? If Hoby Milner is to be considered, he'll need more reps. Shouldn't D.L. Hall get more tests? Joe Ross needs to show more to keep him on the team. Also, Colin Rea, should be tested more. Aaron Civale is so great with runners on base, that it'd be a big mistake NOT to include him on the post season roster. Even if Civale doesn't get a start, he'd be the glue to get to the short high leverage guys in the pen.

  2. Sneaky starter could be Aaron Ashby. This guy has turned it around and could be a starter Pat Murphy uses to bring in the surprise element against the opponent. Murphy seems to always wait to the last minute to announce his lineups and I could definitely see him pulling this move in game #2 in the wild card "series".

  3. Contact play… The first run of the game by the Brewers came via the contact play. Turang hit a ground ball out to 1st base and Joey Ortiz with that great jump was able to get home to go up 1-0. I like it! Who said it never works?

  4. Willy recently expressed the desire to stay in MKE . We need to keep him as he brings so much to the team and the community at large. His performance speaks for itself. KEEP WILLY Mark A!

  5. You are correct about not supporting your team and losing them Chuck. As someone old enough to have been at the last Milwaukee Braves game I can just say it was horrible. There were people in the stands that day displaying raw emotions with both anger and tears ( a hard thing to grasp for a young kid at the time ). They drew just over 500,000 that year largely because they knew they were held in MKE by a court injunction and were inevitably gone. The Braves never had a losing season in MKE . They were never the blame for moving to ATL. It was greed and an opportunity for Atlanta to corner the entire baseball market in that part of the country. As a side, the current Braves have statues of former Braves who never or barely stepped on the field for them. That would be like us having a statue of Babe Ruth just because he was briefly with the Boston Braves at the end of his career. Tacky Atlanta. We do it right here in Milwaukee and Wisconsin.

  6. One reason they may want to try and win these last few games is for home field advantage in a possible World Series appearance. Likely wouldnt surpass the Yankees record but the Guardians are 1 game up on them and the Brewers would get home field if they have the same record.

  7. I agree with Charles. Yesterday I said Nick Mears, please please, no no no no.
What do the Brewers see in this guy ?? It's not even close, he comes in and 1st or 2nd hitter goes yard. 11 innings 5 HRs. Matt Bush all over again. Bryse Wilson, Hudson, Yoho, Misiorowski, even Paguero ahead of him.
Please cut ties with this guy.
