Rookie Recap – 2023 Prospect Season & Summer League

With the NBA season starting soon, I thought it would be worth talking about some general expectations for the season. I think it’s worth looking at pre draft stats and their summer league stats. Although summer league was a much smaller sample size, it’s worth seeing how their skills may have translated so far.
For Sarr, it looks like the rebounding, defense, and surprisingly his playmaking are his primary strengths.
Bub had some questions about his shooting and getting to the rim to draw fouls. In summer league it seems he made it a point to attack the rim, and his efficiency from 3 really increased.
Kyshawn’s shooting looks like it translated well so far. I’ll be curious to see if he can increase either his assist or rebounding numbers over time.
What are your expectations for the rookies?
What do you hope they mainly work on this year?
Those Sarr SL stats are should be burned. Scrubbed from the internet so we can collectively forget it ever happened. Need him to step up in a big way this season.
