Fuck this. I get that he may get paid more than he should. Just like Freddie got more years than he should have. Just like Dansby got more money than he should have.
But at some point we have to overpay someone that’s a proven winner right? Like I trust AA but maybe once we overpay someone who made 2021 happen
I remember the day the Braves acquired him from the Padres while he was still coming back from TJ.
So surreal, saddening, and disheartening knowing this may be his last time pitching at Truist.
I really hope we can keep him. I’m not emotionally prepared for this.

Maybe he’ll still resign and hopefully there will be a post season. It was kind of emotional. I still remember Smoltzy walked off losing 1-0 to the Yanks in the 96 WA and getting a sinking feeling he was gone. We did lose but there were a lot of chapters left in that book.
