  3. Elly…261, 104 runs, 25 hrs, 65 steals. All team highs, so if Elly is in anyone's mouth negatively, they better be on a rivals tongue. When Elly is gone, people should think back on how we have spoken about a young guy that is finishing his first full season. Oh, he strikes out a lot. He does, but an out is an out. The pressure to deliver every at bat is insane on Elly. Most of this season was either Elly does super human stuff, or the Reds simply don't do anything at all.

  5. The reds should trade for Shohie Ohatani and made him a manager with only Japanese spoken on the field and get plenty of Japanese hitters and pitchers and all women dress traditional Japanese dresses and have sumo wrestling before every home game

  11. Why do you need a so called professional. Find somebody who knows baseball. Take a chance with a young team. They could expand the game, by playing hit the ball and run. Instead of pitch and swing. A different approach may be the difference.

  12. Maybe they aren't talking about Elly, maybe its somebody like a Benson, someone who clearly needs to figure things out but doesnt work hard to figure it out. Maybe Bell continued to play him despite all that. That makes more sense to me. We may never know.

  13. Until the citizens of Cincinnati rise up and demand the Reds owners build , spend for and promote a Competitive Winning team it does not matter who the manager is . Because it is the front office and ownership who force trades and receive minor leaguers for experience, professional players , not a manager or coaches .
    How many more years must we watch the Reds obtain, develop and create Great players who perform well and then see them traded off and only to face them on another team who blow the Reds away. Be it pitchers, position players whatever.

    The Reds mindset is they are a Farm Club and they are NOT there to win a pennant or a championship they are there to play well get better to be traded and hope it is a team who wants to win a pennant or a World series and that is exactly what we have seen now for decades. That crap has to end and ONLY the citizens and city Government can force that to end
    As long as owners are getting paid regardless of team performance it will never change because they know they do NOT have to do anything else. This firing of Bell should have happened long ago, BUT what difference does it make unless ownership changes and funds a team and make them a competitor for the pennant and World series and right now ownership does not care about that and the Bell firing is just smoke and mirrors and NOTHING Else !!!
