    Off by a few years. It’s supposed to be the year of the Dragon. On second thought, let’s not talk about Dragons.

  2. Even before the Kia Tigers were founded in 1982, the Hanshin Tigers and the Detroit Tigers had never made the playoffs in the same year.

    In fact, that didn’t happen until 2013.

    Although the Detroit Tigers and the Kia Tigers (then called the Haitai Tigers) both made the playoffs in 1987.

    And from 1983 to 1989 a team called the Tigers won a championship in every season

    * 1983 KS – Haitai Tigers
    * 1984 WS – Detroit Tigers
    * 1985 JS – Hanshin Tigers
    * 1986 KS – Haitai Tigers
    * 1987 KS – Haitai Tigers
    * 1988 KS – Haitai Tigers
    * 1989 KS – Haitai Tigers

    Though admittedly the Haitai Tigers did do a hardcarry on that one.

  3. Someone *please* make an edit of all three teams to “Wu-Tang Clan ain’t nothin ta F’ with”

    First verse Detroit Tigers highlights

    Second verse Hanshin (oh no, here come the Wu-Tang Shogun)

    Third verse Kia

  4. The KIA Tigers will play in the Korean Series (KBO uses a ladder style playoff) where they are undefeated (11-0)
