  1. I’m looking forward to hearing the atmosphere at Wrigley Field for Kyle Hendricks’ likely last game with the Cubs. There should be a very long standing ovation for him.

  2. I’m going to miss Kyle. Baseball is becoming more and more about hitting 100 mph and he was the guy that showed there are more than one ways to be a solid pitcher. I loved watching other teams not be able to figure out how to hit a 89 mph fastball because the changeup was that good. We don’t win a World Series without Kyle. I’m going to miss him.

  3. Since it’s not signed, sealed, and delivered, I prefer to think there’s a chance Kyle could end up as a Cubs bullpen pitcher. Might not be a big chance, but I hope he’s still a Cub next year (hope is kinda my thing)

  4. Hope Hendricks has a great last game. He’s always been criminally underrated. He’s never been a flashy player. He never won any awards. He was never even an all star. It just feels wrong typing that. His stats in the 2016 NLCS vs Dodgers: 0.74 ERA 2 games started. 2016 World Series vs Indians: 1.00 ERA 2 games started. Just incredible performances that we absolutely would not have won without. His 2016 season: 2.13 ERA, best ERA in the league. 3rd in CY Young voting.

  5. This might be Kyle’s last start but I hope we bring him back as AAA depth, as long as he’s willing and not going to hang it up.

  6. I’m still not convinced that JD likes/has any chemistry at all with Jon Sciambi. I don’t know how much of it is that he misses Len and how much is that he’s just tired

They cut to the booth sometimes and he’s got that Mike Ehrmantraut stare from Breaking Bad

  7. Wisdom with the wind blowing in is like….a thing that sucks. I’m still pretty tired, I don’t have a good analogy here

  8. how busch does next year and going forward is going to be a really big deal for us. he’s doing really well this year…for a rookie, with the expectation that he’ll continue to improve. if this ends up being who he is, 750-800 ops with good 1st base defense, that’s a fine player but definitely a little disappointing.

  9. 55 pitches through 5 shutout innings. Please string some singles together and score some runs for The Professor’s last class

  10. “Good stuff” says Boog, about a bunch of verbal diarrhea that didn’t clarify or mean anything
