I know I’m in the minority, but it feels weird to celebrate after not having our offense do ANYTHING against the braves and only get in because the twins have had an all time collapse.
This year feels like a lot like 2013 to me. Hell, they could very well end up with an identical record, it’s just that 86-76 gets you into the playoffs now with the third wild card spot. Just like in 2013, the Storm Chasers are in the AAA Championship Game. With the young talent on the MLB roster and more on the way in the farm system, the future seems very bright, but there are also some glaring holes that need to be filled if we want to make a serious run.
This has been an unexpectedly fun season, but I think the real contention is going to be in the next 2-3 years. Let’s hope it’s more sustainable long-term this time!
