Richard Peddie is the real reason why VC quit on the Raptors organization. This is why Tanenbaum still backs him.

Then they hired Babcock who drafted Raphael Araujo. I would have quit on the Raptors too.

  1. Vince was within his rights to ask for a trade. But if you’re a professional you do your job until you leave. The organization didn’t do anything egregious enough to justify his petulant tanking on the way out.

  2. The raptors media heads are known to be pretty bad but we believe their every word when it comes to the Vince situation? They painted him as the villain in every way possible and it worked

  3. Some of you constantly complain about this like Constructive Dismissal isn’t actually hard coded in to Labour Law in your own province.

What happened with Vince happens to a great many people. Every day. It’s illegal. This article alone is an example of it. Just because there’s a few extra zeros in his check, doesn’t mean he’s required to accept his employer doing that to him.

  4. If Vince could just admit he messed up and acted emotional and immature, then fine. Let’s move on.

But he keeps trying to revision the past and act like he was a saint. Fucking please.

  5. I remember rumours back in the day that Larry T and VC had a falling out as well, well before the trade request. Richard Peddie was the scapegoat IMO. Not saying Peddie was entirely innocent, but there were others including Larry T that contributed to the initial downfall of the Raptors.

Raptors should’ve kept Glen Grunwald as GM in my honest opinion.
