  1. This was a LINEAR move. The good news is this move doesn’t make the knicks worse. The bad news is it may not make them that much better but that might be the difference maker in making it to the finals.

  2. The knicks have the 3rd best big and 2nd best center in the eastern conference in KAT before even plays a minute for them. When he does play, he will be in a weaker conference, at his natural position, in a perfect fit scenario.

He and the Knicks will be great. Top 5 offense, top 10 defense

  3. So the Knicks had a chance of winning with no center or stretch big but now that they have both they are less capable of winning? As a Celtics fan, I now see them as legit competition. Before this trade they still had no answer for Porzingis.

I’m not sure why we should look at Bucks or Pacers as serious contenders when it’s the 76ers and Knicks that clearly crafted their teams to contend with us.

  4. I actually like this trade for the Knicks a lot. You don't like to see Randle and DiVincenzo go but KAT fits Brunson better offensively. I believe this move will unlock Brunson even more. Also because of the emergence of Brunson as a superstar player it changes their thought process on who to add. Brunson is now a superstar and, Towns is a star player. I also believe Mikal Bridges will return to his all NBA defensive form. OG Anunoby is the key, I don't view him as a 82 game player but if he can play 60 or more games and, be healthy for the playoffs the Knicks will be hard to beat. I also don't think the Knicks are done, they might still add another piece. As presently constructed I like their starting five and, I don't believe their bench is as thin as some people think. Deuce McBride really came on last season in a major way, I am high on Tyler Kolek even though he is a rookie, Precious Achiuwa was really good last season. The key position on the bench will be the 3 and, 5 but I actually like McBride, Kolek and, Achiuwa off the bench. If KAT is bought in I believe they can contend in the EAST

  5. It's weird, to me, the disrespect toward Donte D. Folks act like he wasn't an active participant, during his Golden State (championship) time, bringing a championship attitude/frame of mind with him (to New York), which DEFINITELY showed itself during last years' playoffs. Kat ain't won any championships, and, looks soft when it's time to show your toughness.

And, again, as far as the toughness aspect, J. Randle was the Knicks' banger, so, who are they gonna replace TOUGHNESS with? Surely, NOBODY's pretending that KAT is gonna fill THAT void! I see injuries coming, because, SOMEBODY'S gonna have to step it up, in the toughness department, or, the other teams are gonna just bully them up & down the court. Where it had been Julius taking the beatings, incurring injuries, now, it's gonna be one of your other, more fragile/less durable, players having to try to bang with the competition.

Not pretending that NO move was the right thing (for the Knicks), but, I'm not feeling this one, in terms of the Knicks improving their chances of moving up the Eastern Conference standings. Minnesota should improve, but, as for New York…nahhh

  6. Bontemps has no intuition. He's 1's and 0's, like a computer, can only recall historical information. Also known as childhood emotional neglect but that would take self-awareness to address.

  7. This is The Best Thing the Knicks Could Have Done, KAT at the Four, OG at the 5, and Thib Will Be Putting KAT In The Post in a Lot of plays, cause the last time Coach: Thib was With KAT He was in the post a lot, and had great numbers, but Now We Know KAT Can Stretch, We Know KAT has a Deficiency on Defense, So With OG and Brunson, and Bridges that is perfect for him to blend in and get into playing defense to some degree, The Knicks Are Still Just Playoff Contenders In The East, and Nothing More Though, Knicks Fans Base Be Happy, But You Will Not Be Different, Pray you make an Eastern Conference Finals Appearance from this Squad in the next Two years, cause That’s all you will get, and Money Talk Time Will Be Coming Around For All Players. Now We gotta look and see What Will The T-Wolves Do with Randle and Will The Lakers Reach Out to Acquire a Julius Randle to put with Lebron and Send DLo Back To The T-Wolves and What do We Say If The T-Wolves don’t make a big move Soon, To Add another Star Next to Their Now Key Superstar.
