Next Stop, October | Royals Finish 2024 Regular Season With a Win

The Royals jumped on the board early in the series and regular season finale in Atlanta thanks to a Michael Massey 1st inning three-run home run. Hunter Renfroe would add a solo home run of his own, and the four runs would be all the Royals would need. Alec Marsh got the start and allowed just a pair of runs over 5.0 innings of work on his way to a win. Carlos Hernández, Angel Zerpa, John Schreiber, and Kris Bubic kept the Braves off the scoreboard over the final 4.0 innings to lock down the win in the series finale and secure the Royals the 5th spot in the American League playoff picture.

  3. BLUE OCTOBER BABY!!!! IM SO PROUD OF THIS TEAM! EVER SINCE 2011 when I was just 7 years old, I’ve been to more and more royals games every year. I was just 10&11 years old the last time the royals were in the postseason. Here we are again and I’m now 20 years old. I worked at kuffman stadium in 2021 and 2022, so much heart break but we all knew the amount of talent and potential this team had and that it was just a matter of time before we get another shot at championship gold. I would’ve never imagined that just two seasons later, I would be preparing for blue October for the first time in 9 years💙💛
