Some of us do not want to admit it but it may be time to cut him.

We need a reliable kicker who can make medium-high length kicks (hell sometimes he cant make extra points) to give us a more comfortable lead but he cannot. I am not saying this like we would have won today, but it needs to be said.

  1. This sub has been calling for Bass since most of last year. He’s paid top 3 kicker in the league and consistently performs in bottom half of the league. Blame Bills front office for signing a subpar kicker to a stupid contract

  2. Everyone wants him gone, but who can he be replaced with? Is there a better free agent kicker available?

  3. man idk what happened that made this dude so inconsistent, ik he hasn’t always been the most exceptional kicker but i remember a stretch where i didn’t have to worry about him missing anything

  4. I was a big supporter, but everyone else was right. You cannot miss a 48 yard FG in the NFL. Bass has missed a couple from that range in four games. He is not reliable.

  5. Alright so who gets signed to replace him because if those guys available were better they’d probably have jobs rn.

Like obviously Bass isn’t going to be the long term solution at kicker anymore but like, does Randy Bullock solve the problem?

  6. Nobody is saying we shouldn’t, but eating a ton of cap for the second time this season isn’t good either. FO should’ve brought in someone and sat Bass if necessary, we can move on easily after the season ends.

  7. Statistically, even his “good” years are basically league average…

It was time to get rid of him a couple years ago…

  8. Past time. Should have been done in the off-season. Legit can’t remember a Bills kicker I’ve trusted less in my lifetime.

  9. In a league where 60 yarders are becoming the norm in all weather (still having nightmares about the Philly one last season) then having a kicker who can’t make kicks from 45+ is nothing but a liability, the only question is who do we replace him with

  10. Thankfully Beane paid him as one of the highest paid kickers in the league!!!! Along with Dawson Knox being one of the highest paid TE’s in the league! Along with Von Miller being one of the highest paid DE’s in the league, along with Diggs being one of the Highest paid WR’s in the league not even on our team!! It’s going so swell.

  11. Completely agree. It’s sad as I’ve liked Bass throughout his years with us, but he’s definitely fallen off for whatever reason. For financial reasons, we’re stuck with him this season and will likely cut him in the next. For the time being, I hope he plays as well as he can.

  12. The last kick was such a weird way to line up for it. It looked like he kinda stutter stepped to it. Definitely not the reason we lost, but still.

  13. Kickers are good until they aren’t… and then bad until they’re good again. But we can’t wait until that happens. Time to ✂️

  14. Both his misses this year have been in meaningless situations. However, I wouldn’t mind if they brought some guys in for workouts.

  15. First of all, Bass has not been the deciding issue in the games we’ve lost. He may have failed to bail the team out after the highest paid players on the roster didn’t do their jobs (I’m looking at you Diggs), but he’s not out there dropping picture perfect passes and shrugging it off like it’s everyone else’s fault.

Secondly, and more importantly, some of y’all claiming to be bills mafia need to own up to your part in his struggles. A friend of a friend who works in the sports memorabilia industry shared a story that some “mafioso” have been sending Bass death threats and telling him to kill himself. The word is that he’s not responded well to the ugliest side of football fanaticism. I’m no Bass apologist but I have to believe the unmerited aggression has contributed to the slip in his play.

  16. he may have missed an important field goal bills were out coached, out played and completely dominated on both sides of the football. so there are definitely bigger problems

  17. It’s baffling to take this Baltimore loss out on Bass, but sure, make a reddit post about it.

Dude shoulda been gone after last year, and I’m not just talking about the Chiefs playoff game, he could have won it for us in Philly last year but didn’t several times over.

Then we got absolutely no competition for him in the offseason, because Beane paid him so he had to stand by him. So we’re ride or die with a guy who could potentially miss his extra points.

If it comes down to a FG in the playoffs, I’d love to see him redeem himself, but I wouldn’t bet on him to win any game for us like the kicker in Atlanta did today.

  18. I said this 3 years ago: Bass isn’t good enough.

Not a big fan of McDermott either. We are wasting Josh.

  19. I don’t disagree but he was far from the issue in this game. Defense got obliterated and Allen had no time to throw
