[Nagy] Spoke to four NFL execs past week and all said same thing about upcoming 2025 draft, there’s an ๐ช๐ฃ๐ช๐จ๐ช๐๐ก๐ก๐ฎ ๐จ๐ข๐๐ก๐ก ๐ฃ๐ช๐ข๐๐๐ง of sure-fire first rounders this year. Amount of Round 1 grades in most drafts is in mid-teens & good drafts tend to have low-20’s. This year less than 10

There will be some good CBs and OL this draft.
Other positions not so much. QB looks especially bad. You definitely don’t want to be in a 22 Steelers or 19 Giants positions having to stare down the QB prospects this year and decide which one is less bad
Only 10? Good thing we will be in position to get one of them
Boise Stateโs Jeanty may be the #1 pick
Neal was a sure-fire first rounder and Purdy was Mr. Irrelevantโฆ good orgs can find value
Happy someone said it. All those QBs in the draft will be ass. But go ahead and fantasy GM awayโฆ
Thatโs why if giants are bad enough, we should draft Travis hunter and trade panthers a day 3 pick for Bryce young (he def just needs a new team/coaching regime)
I feel like they say this every year. Then by the end of the college season everyone is jamming their mock drafts down people’s throats saying look at all these guys and that continues until the combine where they add a few other names to the mock drafts until the draft happens. Talk about who won the draft and then they start all over the following college season saying there’s only a handful of good players.
Players in college are still developing, but reporters have nothing to talk about until these kids start separating themselves from the pack.
They said last yearโs class was also shit early on. Giants arenโt bringing back Daniel at 40+ mil because theyโre scared they might draft a bad QB. Heโll be 1/4th the cost and canโt be worse.
Cool, what an awesome time to be bad.
I want Superman Travis Hunter.
Later rounds would be cool if we could pick up Nussmeier, Milroe or Ewers
I kinda find it hard to believe that “4 NFL execs” have the exact same comments and/or draft grades, on all prospects, in September.ย ย
ย Idk this feels less like “there’s no talent this year,” more like “the draft people are having a tougher time getting insider information.”
I wonder if this will spur a lot of trades for teams that might be a player away that want to move up. If they canโt find said player in free agency.
