  1. Thatโ€™s so fucked

Dikembe was literally at every NBA event promoting the game โ€ฆ You could tell he loved it and how the game was growing in Africa

  2. No, no, no!

RIP to a legend. My favorite story about him is that he once walked into a nightclub and yelled out “Who wants to sex Mutombo?”

  3. Damn rest in peace. Lost my brother to brain cancer, it’s a hard disease. I hope his family is hanging in there

  4. Damn RIP. One of the most positive people to play in the NBA. May have made even more impact off the court with all his charity work.

  5. This fucking sucks. Thatโ€™s way too young to die.

Man cannot fly in the House of Mutombo ๐Ÿ™

  6. What a terrible world we live in when people like Dikembe who devoted so much time, money, and effort into uplifting those less fortunate can be taken away too soon. Yet it seems like those who take like parasites and destroy everything live well into their 70s and beyond.

  7. You have to be one hell of a nice guy for the NBA to essentially create a carve out in their rule set so you can talk shit.

    Rest easy sir.

  8. Petition to allow him to replace St. Peter with the Mutombo Finger Wag denying people entrance to heaven

  9. Noooooo, damn it I hate cancer. I always have a soft spot for that 94 nuggets team. Bison, Stith, Mutombo, Pack, Abdul Rahul. Such a fun team.

  10. Dude.
No. No no no. Not like this.
Farewell Deke. Houston, and the NBA community loved you. What an amazing human

As a 90s NBA fan growing up this hurts, I hate this.

    Fuck.

  11. What a loss. One of the most memorable NBA personalities in the league history. A phenomenal player and great ambassador for the sport. He’s gonna have a long lasting legacy, but I wish his family nothing but the best in the coming days.

  12. About a decade ago, Dikembe’s father was getting treatment at the same dialysis center as my grandmother in Atlanta. One day when she was too weak to walk to her car, he was kind enough to offer to carry her to it. He was a truly kind man and an Atlanta legend. RIP Dikembe

  13. Bill Walton.

    Jerry West.

    Dikembe Mutombo.

Holy fucking hell. 2024 is turning out to be a brutal year of NBA legends passing away. ๐Ÿ˜ข

  14. When someone mentions his name to me, I will always remember the ending to game 7 of the 1st round in the 1994 NBA Playoffs.

    Rest in peace.
