  1. Everyone is shitting the MLB for letting this double header happen, but judging by the comments this game is probably the best ratings a 1pm game on a monday has gotten all season.

  2. This is fucking horrible. Genuinely haven’t felt this empty watching a Braves game since 2019 NLDS G5

  3. We should have all seen this coming. We know what Atlanta sports teams love to do with seemingly insurmountable leads

  4. We have batted around, nuts ! It feels like a lifetime ago that Spencer was doing so well, what a mess for the bullpen.

  5. Alright so I’ve changed my mind. Assuming this holds, I feel like the Mets should do whatever they can to win Game 2; avoid playing Milwaukee, and try to send an arch-nemesis home for the winter.

(I have NO dog in this fight by the way, just want some good drama for what feels like game 163).

  6. So did both teams agree to have Mets win game 1 and Braves win game 2 or something? That’s the only explanation for this insane inning lmao

  7. All the folks in r/braves calling for Snit to be fired….jfc such stupid fucking people. It’s embarrassing (so is the current game meltdown).

  8. Imagine the Mets beating the Yankees in the WS. I want this timeline if Dodgers can’t have it.

  9. Honestly looking like another example of “hitters finally tuned into to the elite SP get relievers not as sharp.” When the SP was so good hitters adjust to his level and now suddenly great relievers look relatively easier to hit.

  10. certainly feels like the Braves have a knack for losing in particularly heartbreaking fashion over the last 10 years or so.

  11. Do you guys think we’ll see any fight from the Braves in the last two innings? Or will they just roll over and hope to take the second game?

  12. Question from a very casual baseball fan here. Hindsight aside, was pulling the pitcher there the normal move? His pitch count was semi= low (or am I wrong?) and he can’t play in The Wild Card right?

  13. was wondering if the Braves sub was still a hellhole and immediately im seeing dudes calling for Snit to be fired, so I’ll take that as a yes

  14. My dumb sister just asked me to babysit my niece in an hour. I like the little kid, but come on, baseball’s more important than family, right?

  15. A few innings ago the Bally crew was talking about the Braves travel itinerary as if this game was in the bag. This is hilarious.

  16. It’s all fun and games until the Mets scored 6 runs in the top of the 8th, aimirite?’

    edit

    wrong team

  17. Now let’s see if the Mets can do what the Braves couldn’t and protect a 3 run lead in the 8th inning.

  18. I’m really happy that every baseball fan can experience what this season has been like for the Mets. The despair. The hope. The belief in the power of grimace.

  19. braves fans melting down as their perennial 90-100 win world series contending team might miss the playoffs for once in their 14 year old lives…tragic

  20. And now the sun is out and shining. I’m not one for omens, but that’s certainly seems like one.

For who, I have no idea
