  1. Those bastards at the Hall just couldn’t let him come to a vote before he passed.

    RIP Mr Hustle

  2. Character issues aside, I’m glad the Reds have been able to honor him over the past few years.

  3. Hate him or love him he was one of the largest stars in the history of the game. And he was a Cincinnati Red.

    RIP to the Hustle.

  4. I was looking forward to the 50th anniversary celebrations for the 1975 World Series Champs. Now both Pete and Joe will be missing. Was always my favorite player on the field. Knew how to play the game ♥️

  5. 200 hits a year for 21 years and you’re still 56 hits shy of the record.

On this day I’m thinking of my papaw and how he taught me to love the Reds in my youth. The stories of him and my dad watching those 70s and 80s teams are fond memories. My dad was even present the night he broke the record. I am sad.

  6. WOW, this dude has been a mythical legend my whole life. Insane to think about. Absolutely speechless

  7. In a lot of ways he was a bad person but I cannot stand the losers on r/baseball masturbating themselves over a man’s death.

    RIP
