  1. First time in 20 years that neither of the previous seasons World Series participants made the playoffs the following season

  2. Hearing Celebration, while Matt is being interviewed…

God fucking dammit I didn’t think I’d be brought down again today

  3. Mets *and* Braves have October Ready shirts…

…and now, a couple of kids halfway across the globe are going to get a nice D-backs October Ready shirt in the coming months…

  4. When’s the last time neither pennant winner made the playoffs the next year? Especially crazy with the expanded playoffs.

  5. I gotta hand it to the Mets, they gave the temporary Mets fans in Arizona the full New York Mets fan experience in that one

  6. Thanks to the mets for not going all out for this game. I thought FOR SURE the Braves were gonna choke this one away too.

  7. Back in my day the only people that had ski goggles were the vets that had been there before and knew it stings

  8. A fun pair of games, but holy crap that was a lifeless booth on the broadcast. I hate national broadcasters but are all the games going to be like this?

    Holy crap, Pete Rose died?!

  9. With this pitching staff (best in MLB, even without Strider) the Braves still should have made the playoffs, even despite all the injuries. But now that they’re in, I guess it really shouldn’t be expected that they go far due to said injuries so they should get a pass if they don’t advance this year. They are playing with house money this postseason, much like 2021.

  10. Diamondbacks fans learning what it’s like to have your heart ripped out on the last day of the season by a Mets loss.
