35 Years Ago Today

35 years ago today, the Toronto Blue Jays clinched their second AL East title when they beat the Baltimore Orioles 4-3 at SkyDome on the second last day of the season.

Tom Henke struck out pinch-hitter Larry Sheets for the final out.

The Blue Jays started that season 12-24 under Jimy Williams before he was replaced by Cito Gaston. The Blue Jays then went 77-49 with Gaston as the skipper to win the division.
