  1. I noticed that in the game and was shocked. I dont think we’ve had a QB who has actually looked off the defense.

  2. This is what I thought happened as well. Which if you watched JTs video he was like “why is Caleb reading the in 1st, he should be always looking at DJ Moore as the 1st read” but I assumed it was because he was holding the safety and knew he was going to come back to Moore.

  3. Look at the touch on this throw. It’s not a bullet and it’s certainly not like some deep ball. It’s got the perfect speed to let the timing happen and let the WR have an easier catch on the ball rather than a laser. A laser might not have been caught and a floater would have resulted in DJ being out of bounds.

This is what was talked about by some pre-draft where Caleb has a huge variance in top speed and lowest speed throws and still being accurate. I think this is a prime display of that.

  4. I’ve seen analysts point out that DJ was covered by a linebacker, which is not a great way to defend him. It’s a huge positive if he knew he was going to him from the start, and looked off the secondary like that.

  5. lol, JT said in his review “I don’t get why he ever looked left at all” . Then went in of DJ for how bad his route was. DJ’s lack of effort sometimes has been concerning, but sometimes it feels JT has an axe to grind, man. It makes watching his film reviews less enjoyable.

So many people watching film and it doesn’t seem anyone can ever agree on anything.

  6. He addressed this postgame. This analysis is wrong. He said that he noticed the safety and knew the safety would go over top to cover DJ (doubling him) or to the left to help with Everett (leaving DJ single coverage).

He explained he started left and saw the safety go left, so he “knew” DJ was in single coverage. And then threw it.

So, no, he wasn’t looking off the safety. No, DJ wasn’t his first read. He smartly read the defense pre-snap, had his eyes on what the safety was doing, and went to his second read once the safety went left and his first read was covered.

  7. Why is everyone bringing up JT and criticizing his complaints with Caleb? Who the fuck cares what this nobody has to say?
