  1. the best quarterbacks put the ball in a position that protects the receiver. sometimes you see a low pass the receiver has to slide into, which saves them from decapitation. i dont trust jones to not put nabers in a position to take massive hits

  2. When Nabers was open for like 5 min vs the Cowboys Janiel Dones throw still forced him to stop and come back for the ball. Actual NFL QB’s will hit their fast WR’s in stride. Our QB forces our WR’s to alter their trajectory NEGATING their speed.

  3. The “DJ actually played ok” narrative speaks more to how good the receivers, particularly Nabers and Wandale, have been playing. They’re catching poorly thrown balls that past players wouldn’t have, and making Jones look better by default. Really makes me miss Eli, who made practice squad guys like Ruben Randle look like actual nfl players.

  4. I am worried about Nabers lasting the whole season with the volume and amount of hits he’s taking. I hope the offense finds a way to spread some of the targets around and finds a way to throw the ball more than 5 yards down the field for Nabers sake

  5. If we had a good qb that could hit guys in stride we wouldn’t have this issue. We’d be getting off the field quicker with less snaps and workload for our WR1

  6. You see this a lot with young players. Saquon was like this and so was Kadarius Toney. Young players want to make every play a big one. He will settle in and make smarter decisions. Hopefully we can get the run game going a bit more to relieve some of the added pressure.

  7. While all this is true about nabers needing to avoid contact and pick his spots, he did get knocked out on a pretty innocuous play. So some of this stuff is sometimes just bad luck.

  8. This just screams “slow news day”.

You want him to play football but you don’t want him to get tackled? Give me a break. If he gets injured, it’s part of the game. The guy’s trying to make plays.

Tell a story. Don’t create a fake one.

    So sick of this approach.
