Hearing rumors that Trent might be safe this offseason.

Has anyone actually seen Shad since the draft? Are we sure he didn’t pass away and Baalke quietly installed himself as God-Emperor in his stead?
We’re doomed.
Why are we forever doomed to poverty team status?
Where are these rumors coming from? I haven’t seen this.
Do you have a source for this? There is no way if we continue down this path his job can be safe.
This is an accurate depiction of what I think is going on in Jacksonville
Hot take, while I’d much, much rather just clean house entirely I think Trent has done a fine job as GM. We’ve acquired a good roster on paper but imo the coaching staff does a horrible job at developing players- we’re seeing a lot of regression in players that seem to be talented (ex: Harrison, who somehow has gotten worse since his rookie year). He’s also done a good job navigating the draft, and I’d rate him as about a league average GM (which is substantially better than we’ve had in the last 15-20ish years).
If keeping him on means that top coaching talent decides they won’t want to come here and work with him then definitely fire him (and again, my preference would be to fire him either way), but I don’t think he’s been as bad as some fans like to make it seem.
If that actually proves true , I hope at least half the season ticket base cancels their tickets as a big “fuck you” to Shad Khan
You know I think we can all say David Tepper is awful, but there has to be some happy medium between Shad’s absent dad management style and Tepper’s “let me shove my hand up your ass and work you like a puppet” management style.
That’s fine. My wallet will continue to be safe from the jaguars.

Trent is not the biggest problem. We’ve seen Tank Bigsby, Ventrel Miller, Buster Brown, Parker Washington, maybe even Cooper Hodges come into their own and be contributors despite all being day 3 picks. The contracts for Lawrence, JHA, and Engram are great. Free agency is a good stop gap effort and though I don’t like this class he’s found some studs in the past like Foye. Hitting on BTJ is awesome.
