  1. Shout out Mears and Civale. I have no words right now but I know one thing for sure give me one hour and I’ll trick myself into believing again. Undaunted till the end.

  2. That was the most brewers playoff game I’ve ever seen. And actually very similar to game 7 2018. Go up early, pull starter early, bullpen gets crushed, team lays down to die. 17 in a row retired to end the game is pretty impressive

I am 100% convinced we will never win a championship. Winning playoff games just isn’t in the DNA of the franchise

  3. One bad inning and we’re immediately on the brink of elimination. Such a cool playoff format we got here.

I’ve had so much fun watching this team this season, please don’t fuckin roll over tomorrow.

  4. Looking forward to watching ~~Tobias Myers~~ Frankie Montas toss a 2 hit complete game shutout tomorrow night.

  5. Ok we’re staying positive tonight

    – our offense got shut out for half the game instead of the full game this time. Progress!
    – we aren’t the Cubs

  6. Ultimately Ashby not getting a single out and those 3 miscues in the 5th put the nail in the coffin. It ultimately sucks that the way we lose in the playoffs has been the same way since 2019. We have to buckle up and win two in a row now

  7. I’m so fucking tired of this…. I don’t know why I get my hopes up for 162 games every year.

  8. Winner of game 1 has won 14 out of 16 times in this stupid-ass new wild card round format.

    We are in danger.

  9. I love the Brewers, and I always will, but I legitimately have no faith that they’ll win anything meaningful in my lifetime. Prove me wrong tomorrow Brew Crew.

  10. Muprhy and Payamps can share this loss. We truly to find a new way to lose in the playoff every year, but failing to cover first base on a grounder to first was surprising even to me.

  11. Truly disappointing that our run prevention let us down. If we turn our strengths into liabilities again tomorrow it is well and truly over.

Also holy fuck Turang and Chourio! The team scored 4, that should have been enough

  12. Yet another win for the “character traits are fake” fans. This team spent the entire year telling me it was resilient and undaunted, everyone around the league agreed with this, and then we give up one big inning and the offense responds by making 17 straight outs. “Resiliency” doesn’t matter. Being good baseball players who put up consistent production, and good advanced metrics like hard-hit rate and K:BB ratio do.

Pulling Freddy early was probably dumb, but we also left him in too long last year and that’s why we lost. All would have been fine if Ashby didn’t have his worst outing of the year, and Ashby had an ERA of like 7.98 in AAA with a ~2.000 WHIP. Chourio had the misplay, Payamps had the misplay, but Ashby is when the dam fully broke and frankly it’s ridiculous that he’s not the focus of 80% of the fan blame for this loss on the pitching side.

    Let’s win 2 and 3.

  13. Little mistakes cost us big. Shouldn’t have pulled Peralta, shouldn’t have dropped that pop up, and fucking payamps

  14. Whenever your favorite sports team loses, just remember it just means they start their off-season sooner in their giant mansions in beautiful places.

  15. Well, that was ass. I was extremely nervous seeing Payamps come out, and sadly I was proven right.

Go get ‘em tomorrow. Season’s on the line

  16. 1-10 in last 11 post season games.

    0-6 in Wild Card games.

Those aren’t bites of the apple. They are borderline licks.

How many licks does it take to get to the center of the playoffs?

  17. I’m just amazed we didn’t even get pinch hitters to try something different later in the game. No Gary, no Perkins, no Haase

  18. God, I feel like I’ve watched this same game year after year in the postseason. Early lead, then the bats go completely AWOL. Get ‘em tomorrow crew.

  19. It’s amazing how comprehensively bad that play from payamps was. Doesn’t go to first, fucks up his footwork so doesn’t touch the base, not aware enough to throw home after all of that. And it may be the reason we lose the series.

  20. Listen guys. Look at the positives, if we would have had them to under four runs, we would have won

  21. About to be 1-11 in our last 12 playoff games. This is an organizational failure. The team beats up on a dogshit division every year and then crumbles when facing real teams when the lights are bright

  22. 68 pitches and you pull Peralta. I AM SO SICK of Murphy making what ends up being momentum killing decisions.  This reminds me of the game he preserved Devin Williams just for him to sit several games. Bring on Rickie Weeks.

  23. Losing isn’t what concerns me. It’s the fact that after the Mets took the big lead, the Brewers didn’t get another hit. 0 hits in the last 5 innings. The offense completely rolled over

  24. Just to keep piling on the misery, for funsies I looked up overall winning percentages in the post season.

Brewers are 4th worse in the league in terms of total post season game winning percentage. If we lose tomorrow and the Padres win 2 games this post season, we drop to 3rd worse overall:

We are dead last in post season series winning percentage. 3 series won, 9 losses. (Including wild card games as their own series)

We get to the post season and just do NOTHING with the opportunity. We’ve one ONE game in our last 12 tries. We haven’t won a single series since 2018. Not even a wild card game.

  25. Why was freddy taken out at 68 pitches? Why was payamps first out of the pen? Why cant payamps properly cover first? And why does this team quit when they go down in the playoff games every year?
