Anyone else think how funny it is that a dude is a legit center at 6-10 and “undersized” at 6-9. It’s just funny how the psychology works there w TJDs 24 year old inch spurt.
I was kicking around some non full starter groups for next season
Presuming starters are – Steph, Podz, Wiggins, Kuminga, Dray
Group 1: Steph, Hield, Wiggins, Dray, Anderson
This is probably our best defensive front court, and the passing from Dray and Anderson will unlock steph and Hields off ball games.
Group 2: Podz, Melton, Moody, Kuminga, TJD
Think the defence here can be really good. Moody POA, Kuminga on best scoring wing allows Melton to be really disruptive off ball. Podz, Melton, Moody are plus rim protectors from their positions too. TJD gives a vertical threat to help podz when he’s driving, Melton and Moody take about 15 3s per 36 combined which should give adequate spacing for that unit too. Think this would be really strong defensively and passable on offence, against units without a star players out there, it should shut them down.
Near Full Bench Group: Podz, Melton, Moody, Anderson, TJD
Should be really good defensively but the offence would be very rough. I don’t think I’d play this unit.
