Dear Angels Fans,
I want to take a moment to address what has been a difficult and frustrating period for all of us who love this team. Over the past decade, we’ve experienced more disappointment than any of us could have imagined, capped by this year’s record, which was the worst in our franchise’s proud history. I understand the anger and frustration that you feel—I share it deeply.
As the owner of this team, I take full responsibility for our struggles on the field. I know that as fans, you deserve better, and that we have fallen far short of those expectations. Our organization has not met the standards we’ve set for ourselves, and more importantly, we have not met the standards that you, our loyal supporters, deserve.
Moving forward, I want to make one thing clear: I have full faith in Perry Minasian as our General Manager. Perry has shown the vision, the work ethic, and the dedication necessary to build a winning ballclub, and I believe he is the right person to lead us back to where we belong. From this point on, I am fully entrusting him with control of all player personnel decisions. Perry will have the freedom to shape this roster as he sees fit, with my complete backing.
As for my role, I will be stepping back from day-to-day decision-making regarding player acquisitions and the baseball operations side. My job moving forward will be to write the checks, support the team, and be a fan, just like you. I want to see this organization succeed as much as any of you do, and I believe that by trusting Perry and our baseball operations team, we can build something special once again.
I know that words won’t immediately make up for the years of disappointment, but I hope that you can see our commitment to turning things around. I appreciate your unwavering support through these tough times, and I ask for your continued patience as we work to bring winning baseball back to Anaheim.
Thank you for sticking with us, and let’s look forward to brighter days ahead.
Sincerely,
Arte Moreno
Owner, Los Angeles Angels
I sure wish the Marlins avoided the 100-loss threshold. It's subjective and means little, but that 99 fulfulls the psychology like a $9.95 price tag.
The hitters need to improve at bats. Too many strikeouts than hits or walks. 2nd a lights out closer, a stopping middle reliever, too many blown games
A manager can only be as good as their roster potential. Blame goes to the penny pinching owner, Mr. Arte McCourt Fisher Reinsdorf Moreno, who won't do what it takes to win.
Hey guys, Would you go into a deep dive ( a podcast or maybe two) into why the Angels have been bad for a decade. What has happened to this franchise?
What if they really worked with cimber he had one bad outing and BOOM he was out back to the minors didn’t see him again but his passion for the game was amazing
The front office has to get some established starting pitchers in this off season. All the talk about wanting to make the team better needs to translate to actual action this off season. Yes we have some good young players but they need some pieces around them to help them be successful. As far as Rendon I hope Perry tries to move him especially since they love him so much in Washington I would be on the phone with that GM as soon as possible to see if they are willing to take some of his salary to free up the spot and give us more money to get what we need. Trout need to be at DH as much as possible to keep him in the game.
I would make sure a part of that financial flexibility we have be spent on signing this young core to longer term deals. Much like the Braves do with their young players.
I am so envious of everyone who is attending the O'Hoppe charity bowl with you guys. It sounds like such a fun time for an amazing cause. I love how much Logan works with and promotes Corey's Promise. Truly an all around great guy. Hey, while you're there, try to convince our favorite catcher to make it a yearly thing so us broke, creative types can save up and plan our vacations accordingly. ☺
Mookie Betts improved more defensively in a few months at an unfamiliar position than the majority of the Angels on pitching, offense, and defense combined.
The Angels didn’t sign free agents last year. Wash & his staff were hired as the difference makers, and they didn’t.
I think Wash is getting a long leash cause Perry likes him. But reality is, they failed profoundly.
And I hate how he refused responsibility and publicly threw his guys under the bus repeatedly. Wow
We needed to go through this when we first got Ohtani rebuild rebuild rebuild. So here we are and I agree with the GM. We are in a great position for the future. Luv Ron Washington
Totally agree about Perry's comments having a little more bite to them this year, and I was happy to see it. The Angels have been way too patient with Rendon and should just cut the cord and let him go. 2025 should be a legit fresh start with the young core while acquiring some new pitching.
So you guys seem to be implying we are 2 bats away from being the Royals or the diamond backs.
Let me remind you the starting rotation for say the Dbacks
Zac Gallen Merrill Kelly and Brian Pfadt and a disappointing Eduardo Rodriguez. For the Royals Ragans and Lugo.
Then look at their bullpens.
So yes we hope Mike Trout is coming back as a huge bat and that we get one more huge bat. OK in all fairness you guys are saying we find diamonds in the rough for our Starters.
But our rotation is not that Dbacks or Royals quality in my mind. We need at least one pretty flawless Diamond till Dana or Aldgheri can shine.
Then the core still needs to keep developing another year if not more.
How do you guys see it ?
How much could they get for trading Trout
Been a fan since 2009 from Japan. I’ll let you know that there are still a lot of angels fans here in Japan even after ohtani left to the dodgers. I’m looking forward to 2025!!

Hoping we find that flawless Diamond in the rough!
Having Anderson Soriano and Kochanowicz as a pretty solid starting 3 doesnt scream a playoff team . But maybe we can scratch out over 75 wins next year with the addition of another bat and an additional solid starter. Oh and dont forget there are a lot of bullpen guys to resign and you better hope Stephenson isnt a dud
Hello there Halo brothers! Thanks for your kind words to my previous comments.❤
Yes, it’s a little raw now but with little time and emotions settled, we’ll see that pushing and pushing to some kind of result will just stress everybody and frustrate us all to the extent we start to look for scapegoats where there’s none..(well maybe some on the top..)
The Tigers are such a beacon of hope. NOBODY expected this but they just chuff-chuffed on like the little locomotive that can!! I was so impressed by the organizations trust that their team would find their path, if only they were allowed to work on it! Whatever happens in post season, the Tigers are already one of the winners of this season!
They literary showed us it’s possible and what an inspiration they are!
Forget about the blame, let’s focus on the path the Detroit Tigers took. Now we have a tangible example of a team that showed, it can be done!! 😊
The more I think about it, the more I think signing big, impact players right now might be a little risky. I know there's a big focus on, "let's make the Angels a playoff contending team" and of course, we need to work our way there, but what the Angels need to do right now is "let's build a .500 team first." If we want to sign impact, star players, it's going to cost an arm and a leg to get them here unless we can build a team that shows we can at least be a winning baseball team. So right now, we don't go after huge names. We go after major league caliber players on 2-3 year deals that can help this team get back into the win column for a season. Then, we bring in these star players at a lower cost because they want to play here.

Very frustrating year for sure. I have to admit though, I still enjoy going to be the Big A and catching a game in person. I will miss that the most until 2025.
The Angels have no credibility. O'Hoppe, Neto, Joyce and Schanuel are only four players. Minasian is always excited. Guys, we lost 99 games. What has changed from last off season? Starting pitching is actually worse now. Adell? Moniak? What position to play Regnifo and his health issues? Third? Second? DH? CF? Trout? Rendon? No bench? no depth? And the same promises as Moreno says nothing. Minasian tells us how great it is after our worst season of all-time?
We should have released Rendon along time ago. He contributes absolutely nothing to our team. The last time he spoke publicly, he expressed that baseball was not his priority, and it shows every time he steps on the field. What a slap in the face to all the Angels fans and his teammates that give their all every game. We need to just take the loss with him and move on.
