I appreciate Bregman for everything that he’s done for us in the past 8 years. He’s part of the reason the Astros are what they are now and is definitely an Astros legend. But if we’re being honest after today there are more needs to fill than bringing back Breggy for 25+ million a year out of “legacy”. Let’s say we give Breggy 7 years for 175 (what Matt Chapman got but with another year) this could make it hard for us to get Yordon to resign in 2028 when he’s gonna need a new contract. Not to mention we have Tuck and Framber who need new contracts too after next season
