  1. Dallas looked uninterested and just didn’t show up to the WCF last year… and they still have better odds than Florida for this year?👀

  2. Panthers, Lightning, Leafs, Rangers and Avs all overrated imo but I think it’s pretty wide open. Dallas and Edmonton make sense as the best team of each West division.

If I was placing a hopeful bet to win some money I’d go Boston or NJ to come out of the East.

  3. Another September, another prediction Oilers are favourites for the cup, since like 2006, 11 coaches, umpteen first picks, and a few generational talents later…I’m not bitter I swear (hah)!..just gets repetitive from the tslking heads every year

  4. If you told me 3 years ago that we would have the same likelihood to win the cup as the Lightning, I’d call you stupid.

  5. Better than the Leafs!

    Hahahah.

Also, did they forget that Demko didn’t play in the playoffs? and We didn’t have Boeser for game 7? And still came within a goal?

Going to be fun ruining the Oilers in the playoffs.

  6. Kinda crazy how last year everyone predicted the Canucks to be a playoff bubble team and now they’re a contender.

  7. edm is going to suck this year but the experts fail to see it.

they lost a lot of grit and speed and replaced it with two soft undersized perimeter players.

Hymen ain’t scoring anywhere close to 50 again this season and they better hope mcyesus and crysaitl stays healthy to carry that AHL roster to the playoffs.

  8. I remember when we would be looking at the percentage in the outermost circle rather than the center…

  9. I’m just glad they finally have canucks above leafs. I’m ok with Oilers getting the top pick. But leafs with all their unknowns and past playoff performance, even 5% is too high

  10. Tied for 7th to win the Cup is pretty solid odds. We’re not pretenders anymore.

  11. I seem to recall a trend in the NHL where teams that missed the playoffs for 4+ consecutive seasons, when they eventually make the playoffs, they usually will make the Stanley Cup Finals in either the first or second season following the period of missing the playoffs.

That could very well be the Canucks this year, if we ignore the season cut short due to Covid and figure they likely wouldn’t have made it had they played the entire season.
