Noticed these puppies at the home pre-season games. Looks like the Christie Digital logo, which does the on-ice projection for the Caps. They've been hinting at something special for the home opener, I think this is it. There are 6 on the each of the north and south side of the arena.

Samuelis really are the anti-Angels. They don’t use their market as an excuse to run a nickel-and-dime operation. Continuing to invest in the team and the fan experience even if they take a hit in the short run.
Yes it was confirmed by the Ducks (Teats) during the jersey reveal at the Ponda a few months ago that they have a whole on ice protection system. Most expensive in the league.
This is dope. The old spinning logos were definitely getting a little dated.
In June at revealing of the new logo and jerseys some VP gave a 45-minute talk and said they where getting a state-of-the-art projection system that will be the nicest in the league. Apparently, they went to the Samuelis and said they needed to upgrade everything as it was too old.

Yeah I noticed it last game. It’s about time.
Have done so for the home opener before I think. I’d really love for them to embrace it and do it for all games.
