Spending on free agents is great, but it’s not going to bring consistent success unless you also spend on player development, strength and conditioning, your analytics department, etc. Arte has refused to spend on any of that.
Players like Hader are luxury signings like when we extended Iglesias. We still need our “prospects” to be better on cheap contracts to splurge on better free agents.
