This Preseason is out of control..

This Preseason is out of control..

OK Guys.. It’s time to take a look at the preseason game last night between the Montréal Canadiens and the Ottawa Senators.. The Sens won this game by a final score of 4-3, however.. the main talk after the game was once again dirty plays on the ice. The NHL preseason is completely out of control right now, and I personally can’t wait to get it overwith..

  1. The new angle of the Xhekaj “hit” shows a different story .
I’m hearing Tim Stutzles stick may get suspended for this .

The links for Miraj are in the description!!

  2. I am all for standing up for our team, but I ain't going to endorse god damn head hunting for the entire game. I want our team to start winning games not leading in PIMs. Love Arber, but no matter how you view that hit, I think it was interference and it was needless….. However, can the NHL finally just get it's S@%# together and not have the ref-ing be a joke so players don't have to take matters into their own hands.

  3. I’m not for hurting or injuring any players but I hope the message to all other teams is now clear: « do not take out or go after MTL’s top players, or there will be consequences ». The habs have been the laughing stock of the NHL for the past 10+ years. A few examples: career impact hits on Pacioretty, on Drouin, on Price or on Jake Evans in the playoffs, just to name a few. Any real habs fan can recall those hits. If we want to have any chance of getting close to the Stanley cup in the coming years, we need to find a way to get enough respect and discourage any player from opposite teams to take cheap shots like Dach received and injur our players.

  4. The difference with the Xhekaj hit is that he is much taller than Stutz.. which makes the point of contact higher. And now Xhekaj has (again) a target on his back for all the refs in the league!

  5. I'm at the point where the Ch could dress 12 goons for the whole preseason and I would not even care since those games doesn't have any weight on the regular season whatsoever.

  6. If this game was any indication, this is going to be a fun season. I'd rather see them lose to the power play than stop giving a shit with half the game left to play like the last couple seasons.

  7. Hey they've been trying to fix the Canadian since the last Stanley Cup that they won and they're not even close of even making the playoffs I would say the Canadians are a lost cause

  8. I've been watching the Canadians for over 10 years. year after year, game after game, they've been the good guys. What did they get in return ? Distgusting injury and dirty hits one after the other. It's time this nonsense stops. We thought it would be better with Xhekaj and Pezzetta winning fight after fight last year but we say both Laine and Dach get hit with dirty injury-seeking plays, it's time we stand up for ourselves, it's time we show all the bums in the league that if they come for us, we'll come for them. Arber had take this into his own hands, we'll see if someone tries to knock down Caufield or Suzuki.

  9. You dont understand how bad NHL highlights SUCKS compared to what you do Junkie. They didnt show anything. Thanks for the recap i didnt see the game.

  10. Cant stand Bettman's brand of hockey which promotes violence and diminishes skill, because this is exactly what NON calls do. Why have rules, if they are not being called? The Cave man lawyer needs another profession.

  11. I can't disagree with you more. This game had actual intensity to it – palpable dislike. Games are so m uch more enjoyable with this kind of intensity. But I gues syou just want to watch soft, effeminate hockey with lots of "Michigan"s. Yay!

  12. The worst part is that often "beating them on the scoreboard" can make the opponent pay for cheap shots…
But this is the preseason, nobody really cares about the final score, so the only meaningful response is with more violence… Honestly, the preseason really is generally kinda stupid. It would make far more sense to give a month or 2 of Waiver-wire flexibility at the start of the regular season so teams can give their fringe guys meaningful playtime and we avoid this nonsense.

  13. Modern play doe soft hockey players, skate around with what they think is impunity. Just blaze through the blue line, admiring your pass or glancing down at your stick-handling as if you aren't eligible to be checked. And go figure when they do get checked, they usually get rocked. All speed and skill. Not a single ounce of grit, tenacity or toughness. They don't hit, they never get hit, and they don't know how to take a hit. And most importantly as mentioned originally they never expect or brace for contact whatsoever. That's not the checking players problem. That's the puck carriers problem as he is responsible for his own safety.
