everybody wants to “spend more time with the wife and family”, until they spend more time with the wife and family.
Age wise, he’s not that old at 65, though his body,with all the surgeries,is more like 90. But if he manages another few years,he’ll be in the top ten all time for manager wins. Personally, I think he’s easily a HOF manager. 2 WS with the Sox ,very nearly another with Cleveland. 3 pennants,3 time MOY, another time finishing second. It’s still a joke that the highest he ever finished in voting with the Sox is 4th.
Terry has a legit claim to being the best manager ever for two teams with an incredibly long history. How many guys can say that? Very few.
As the lord is my witness I read ‘Red Sox’ at first and was like don’t even play like that! 💀
Tito always has the best bench coaches. So when he misses games sometimes teams still have a better manager than the previous guy.
