Bronny James finishes his first preseason game with 2/1/1 and 3 blocks on 1/6 shooting

His offensive game is so, so so bad. There’s essentially nothing there. I don’t think there’s a player in modern league history that lacked a bag to THAT degree and ever ended up with one. (maybe there’s some hope for him eventually hitting c&s open 3s at a respectable clip, but that’s about it on offense)

Legitimately impressive defender for his size, which is good because it means he’s not dogshit at absolutely everything.

All in all, I don’t think he’s the worst player ever like some thought, but he’s obviously not good. Not much of a shocker there.

  1. Matching his college stats lol.

In all seriousness though, his defence is actually decent. That chasedown block was cool to see.

I am not sure how likely it is, but I hope that he can carve out a decent NBA career in the future.

  2. when everyone is healthy:
    #Starters
    – Lebron (PF)
    – Anthony Davis (Center)
    – D’Angelo Russell (PG)
    – Austin Reaves (SG)
    – Rui Hachimura (SF)

    #Bench
    – Jarred Vanderbilt (PF)
    – Christian Koloko (Center)
    – Gabe Vincent (PG)
    – Dalton Knetch (SG)
    – Max Christie (SF)

    #Third String
    – Christian Wood (PF)
    – Jaxson Hayes (Center)

The defense on the bench looks really good even Knetch played solid defense today. Everyone else not on that list should never play a game in the regular season

  3. I mean he is the 4th to last pick in the draft and probably should’ve been undrafted

  4. G league should actually be very useful in his development, but im impressed by his defense esp at his size

  5. He’s barely good enough for the g-league tbh

Lakers were playing 4 on 5 on offense the whole time he was out there

  6. Bronny does need to work on his offense he did have a few nice passes which showcase his IQ but he is a project player. Hence why he was drafted at the end of the 2nd round.

He can definitely become a 3 and D player but he does need to get reps in the gleague.

  7. What a ridiculous overreaction of a post. His goal shouldn’t be to showcase “his bag” when he’s out there. I’ll give another example from this very game. Max Christie played extremely well but didn’t really showcase much of a “bag.” He played his role, knew where to be and what to do, and made his shots when he got his chances.

Nearly everything that Christie did is something that Bronny can do with practice and more comfort.

  8. People are really making a post judging the 55th pick of the draft going 1/6 in a preseason game. I’m pretty sure I’m going to see less posts dissecting the other 54 picks that were selected ahead of him.

  9. So he shouldn’t be playing any regular season minutes unless it is garbage time. He would only be playing because of his dad.

  10. Well he doesn’t belong in the nba. He probably doesn’t belong in D1 ncaa. And that’s okay. It’s the equivalent of the a ceo hiring his son without a degree to be in charge of his HR department.

  11. I’ve never seen a 2nd round pick in the 50s in the first game of the preseason get trashed on until Bronny James. Jesus Christ just let the kid develop

  12. Is there really a big expectation for someone that was drafted with the 55th pick? Without looking up one, can we really name anyone that was drafted the 55th?

  13. Why are you guys so obsessed with Bronny? Let that man live. I’m sure all of you predicted Jokic and Giannis being top 25 players huh?
Stop hating and let his career unfold. The funny part is you guys think you have a say or that your opinion matters. It doesn’t. Like at all. You are consumers. Consume the product or shut the &$”@ up. Bronny would destroy every single dude in this sub athletically and skill wise. Stop it.

  14. How does OP have 100K karma for an account that’s 68 days old? I swear this sub is full of bots and yall dumbass nephews eat it up.

  15. People are saying a Kawhi, Murray, even Roberson ceiling?! The fuck? Dude is dreaming of being Josh Huestis. Drafted on Lebrons merit and some defensive potential .
