There’s a pretty clear correlation but it’s important to remember most teams shed salary when they’re not competitive and add salary at the deadline when they are. The two or three teams on both ends of the spending spectrum are certainly outliers in that regard.
Feel like this graph would have been way better with the axis swapped.
Now do a line of best fit and see which team is farthest from it in each direction. Well, we all know which team is most to the left… Lol
Willing to bet money that Cleveland or Milwaukee takes the crown for farthest to the right, aka best win to payroll ratio, aka best value.
