I rewatch this video every year or so, as it’s one of my favorite Cardinals videos ever. I know times are tough right now as a Cards fan, but this video makes me both emotionally nostalgic for the past, and hopeful for the future. This video is what the St. Louis Cardinals are all about. We can get back there. We will.

Yet we are stuck with Ollie while Mike Schildt is managing a playoff team. We see players the Cardinals have discarded playing and excelling for playoff teams. To be honest, it FUCKING sucks to be a Cardinals fan right now.
Those were my “greatest Cardinals.” There will be other great players and teams for St. Louis, but those will be for the next generations of fans.
I’m a lifelong Cardinals fan. Through the good seasons and the bad, I’m still here damnit. You won’t catch me throwing in the towel.
These guys were my third “group” as a fan. As a boy it was Stan, Lou and Bob. As a young man it was Ozzie, Willie and Vince playing Whiteyball. I hope that I’m around long enough to see a fourth group develop in the next couple of years.
I miss it. We’ll get there again. I love our young core of guys
